Everyday Blessings...

We so often forget to give thanks to God not only for blessings but things we often see as unwanted. So often I don't realize that God is just protecting me. When he puts a block in my path, he is protecting me from the world around me. I have beaten my self up for weeks about a silly little speeding ticket. Something so silly I cared so much about. Why? Because I feel like I must be perfect to fit the image of a true Christian. You might think that is silly as we are uniquely created by God, but I find so often feeling that due to the church that I must be perfect according to other Christians not God. 

"The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life" Job 33:4

If God made everyone of us, then whey do we chastise others for who they are. We so often look at some sins as being better than others, but every sin is equal. In the church, we often see sex before marriage okay as long as you don't get pregnant. It's so unbelievable that we would chastise someone for a mistake that so many have made but was just never known to anyone. God knows all of our sins, but through his Grace, we are forgiven. We don't need to judge others for their past as with God there plate as been swept clean. 

"Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh" Ezekiel 36:25

We have all forgotten that everything God created not just things that we find Holy like communion, the church, and etc. God is the creator of the World. He has made everything for us to be happy, but we must remember to live our life for God not other false Idols that we encounter everyday like television, celebrities, and etc. We must devote ourselves to God in everything that we do. But most of all, we must learn from our mistakes as not one of us here can say that we have never made a mistake!
