My relationship with God...
Good evening all.... I am really happy to be writing to Y'all tonight. This week has been a great week even though I am facing a large amount of stress due to work. Even through it all, I feel happy. I can feel God's presence in my life. I can admit openly that I have had a rough relationship with god in the past. I will probably see many bumps in the future, but through it all God is always there for me. The past few years have been a roller coaster rider. I feel God led me to the military in order for me to have a relationship with him. I don't think I would be able to say that if I were not in the military. Sometimes we question God's choices for our lives because we are fearful. I know that God will stand before me to lead me in the way when I am fearful and weary.
Many Christians don't understand what it means to have a relationship with God. We are so often taught to abide by God, go to church each Sunday, and read the Bible each night. But none of it matters if we don't have a relationship with god. Don't get me wrong as children of God we should attend church, abide by God, and read our bible every night, but if we don't have a relationship with him nothing matters. God wants us to allow him our lives. God gave his only son to us to save us.
I will never forget as child attending church. So many of the so called Christians went to church only for show. They didn't go to church to become closure to God, they went to Church in order to have a social status.
All too often, these Christians were so judgmental of others. We should not judge others as we don't know what they have gone through. I can't believe they would judge someone when we all have sinned, but Jesus saved us from our sins when he died on the cross for us. To me, a true Christian is someone who lives to create a deeper relationship with God. He or she is not judgmental of other but tries to share his or her faith in God with others. To be able to understand what it means to follow God look at Hebrews 4:15-16.
Being a christian isn't a social status, its having a relationship with God. We must put all of our faith in God through the good and the bad. I will admit I have doubted God in the past, but I am learning slowly to trust him with all of my fears and worries. God has a much greater plan for our life than we can ever plan for us. To be able to have relationship with God, we must bring all of our worries and fears to him. God will help us in need. He don't always give us what we want, but he gives us what we need and much more. Sometimes his plan is much greater than we could ever expect.
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
