Be Unique....

One of the greatest gifts god gave to us was our uniqueness. While everyone in society is trying to fit in so hard with the new trends, I believe we should learn to stand out. We need to learn to be unique and true to ourselves. Paul exemplifies this greatly within the Corinthians. He makes it known that we are all individuals but are unified within God. You can see by the way he wrote this book. Within his speech he uses same, one, and unified often to show that we are one unified body but have several different parts within. For if we were all alike, where would we be today? First Corinthians 12 shows us how intelligent our God is. Take the body for instance. We have zillions of cells which are characterized by there job within our body, but they all work together but are all quite different. Our body would not be able to operate if we only had a hand... Where would we be if we didn't have different organs and body parts. Our body would not function.

"For the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body."
1 Corinthians 12:14-20

God creates us all to be unique members so that we can bring our gifts together to be unified. For instance you can take the church for example. If everyone could only do the same thing, the church would not function. We must all take part within the church. We must use our gifts. For the past year, I have used my love for children by being the head Sunday School teacher. I feel that god has lead me to take part in this ministry as there is a need to teach the children of god his word.
