Learning to be Thankful....
So today after class I watched a very beautiful documentary, First Circle, on the foster care system within the US. It was a very eye opening film that brings light to a lot of the issues that occur within foster care system. After watching this video, I am truly thankful for the family that I have. Many children go from home to home never having the true love of a family. Sometimes some children are able to find loving foster care parents and become adopted. God shows love to all even those who have a rough start to life. I think this a great movie that show true perspective on life and the difficulties that some most face in their childhood. I really think that the US needs to revamp the whole Foster Care system so that children become the priority rather than the parents. Often many parents get custody even when they are not fit to parent. Then those children often end up in jail, pregnant, or etc. This is a reoccurring cycle which will never be broken until these children can live in a safe and secure environment. Children should not have to watch their parents doing drugs, drinking and etc. Children should be able to be children. They should not live in fear everyday for their lives. I really hope some day I get the chance to adopt a child that is in need of a family as I feel that there are so many children in need.

God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.
